CPEC to bring prosperity in region: Prof Dr Zafar Mueen

Lahore : Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor would bring prosperity in the region and China and Pakistan are partners in development.

He was addressing the certificate distribution ceremony among Chinese language students of PU Confucius Centre at Al Raazi Hall here on Thursday. Directors of PU Confucius Centre Prof Liu Chensheng and Dr Rana Ejaz Ahmed, Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar, Director External Linkages Dr Fauzia Hadi Ali and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said the whole world would be connected through the project and all the countries were taking interest in it. He said that a neighboring country was also hatching conspiracies against CPEC project but the project would meet success.

He said that CPEC was a dream project for Pakistan which would really prove a game changer. Directors of Confucius Centre Prof Liu Chensheng and Dr Rana Ejaz said that PU Confucius Centre was promoting Chinese language and culture and exchange programs at teachers and students level were also being promoted.

Later, PU VC Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir distributed certificates among students.
