Ayesha Ghaus Pasha chairs 105th meeting of Austerity Committee

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha presided over 105^th meeting of Austerity Committee at committee room of Finance Department, today. The purpose of meeting was to give approval to the sale and purchase of vehicles, computers, furniture and other office items in the light of recommendations of administrative departments of provincial and district departments.

Addressing the meeting, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha directed the officials of departments to end their unnecessary expenditures and make sale and purchase of equipments of immediate nature. She said that other expenses should be delayed till next budget so that public welfare projects could be completed on time.

Besides members of the committee, concerned officers of Social Welfare & Bait ul Mal Punjab, Health Education, Information & Culture, IG Punjab, City District Office Bahawalpur, City District Office Vehari, Livestock & Dairy Development Department, School Education, Planning & Development and Punjab IT Board attended the meeting.

Approval was given to the budget of various departments including Social Welfare Department and Information Technology Board. Planning & Development and School Education Departments were directed to inform committee members about the details of their expenses.
