Minorities have equal rights under the constitution of Pakistan:Khalil Tahir Sandhu

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that minorities have equal rights under the constitution of Pakistan.

He was addressing a meeting of Minority Advisory Council, here today. The meeting reviewed matters regarding minority properties and Minority Rights Commission. Member Provincial Assembly Mary Gill, Shakeel Ivan, Tariq Masih, Bishop Leo Paul, Peter Jacob, Rubina Feroze Kanwal, Rev. Majeed, Janam Singh, Arun Kumar, Mushtaq Gill, Javed William, Amar Nath and others were present on the occasion The meeting was informed about the problems relating to properties of minorities.

The Minister said that legislation will be undertaken with regard to prosperities of minorities and its ownership and the problems will be resolved under a mechanism. He also informed the meeting about the progress on laws regarding minorities. The Minister assured the meeting that problems of the minorities will be resolved on priority basis.
