Basic problems of Journalist Colony would be solved on priority basis: Zaeem Qadri

Lahore: A high level meeting was held on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, which decided to resolve basic problems of Journalist Colony Harbanspura Lahore. It was decided that WASA will make functional the disposal station and complete all missing links while LESCO will also ensure restoration of all connections and their link within two days.

Similarly, PHA will take necessary steps for removal of bushes from the park and ensure its beautification within ten days.

Spokesman Punjab government, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri presided over the meeting held at Chief Minister Office which was attended by Parliamentary Secretary Muhammad Arshad, journalists and government officers.

The meeting decided that pending development affairs will be speedily disposed of in all the blocks of Journalist Colony and no hindrance will be tolerated during development work especially by WASA.

Similarly, police will ensure that all government departments could discharge their responsibilities in this regard. The meeting will be held again on Monday to review other matters of the colony.

The meeting appreciated town planning of new F Block and other development affairs and it was reiterated that construction of center of excellence and dispensary will soon be started in the Journalist Colony.

Speaking on the occasion, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that according to the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, all affairs of Journalist Colony will be resolved on priority basis.
