The participants of Muzaffargarh to Islamabad Cycle Race will depart for Islamabad tomorrow

Muzaffargarh-Islamabad Race cyclists to depart for Federal CapitalLahore: The ten participants of Muzaffargarh to Islamabad Cycle Race will depart for Islamabad on April 30, 2015 after a 3-day stay in Lahore. The race has been organized to eliminate the menace of narcotics and create awareness among the general public.

During their stay at Lahore, the cyclists met with several top dignitaries and officials of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) and Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF). Sports Board Punjab made appropriate arrangements and provided all necessary facilities to cyclists during their stay at National Hockey Stadium.

The cyclists had started their journey on April 22 and reached Lahore on 27th of this month after covering their distance via Multan, Khanewal, Cheecha Watni, Okara and Pattoki. During their journey, they distributed pamphlets and stickers at every station among people of all age groups to make the masses aware of harms of drugs.

The cyclists will reach Federal Capital on May 4 en route Gujranwala, Gujrat, Jhelum, Gujjar Khan and Rawalpindi.
