United Singhs defeated Lahore Lions Kabaddi team by 77-42

United Singhs defeated Lahore LionsLudhiana:United Singhs defeated Lahore Lions Kabaddi team by 77-42 in a crucial match of World Kabaddi League (WKL) in Hockey Ground, Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, India. United Singhs stopper Sandeep Singh Sandhu who is also known as Sandeep Nangal Ambia created a new record by scoring 14 stops in a single match.

Lahore Lions, who were in good nick for the important encounter, had to suffer a big blow when strongly-built stopper Musharraf Javed Janjua injured his leg in an attempt to stop a United Singhs raider. Musharraf had almost completed his point but he had to loose his grip after turning his leg on the adverse side.

After the unfortunate incident, a stretcher was called into the ground for Musharraf but the brave stopper preferred to go without stretcher.

Lahore Lions, who were without top trio – Shafiq Ahmed Chishti, Akmal Shahzad Dogar and M Ramzan Jani due to injury woes, lost the opening quarter by 16-13. In the second quarter, United Singhs showed more aggression and clinched this segment by 22-9. There’s nothing new for Lahore Lions in the third quarter as far as result was concerned and they lost the penultimate segment by 18-12. The last quarter was also went to United Singhs by a clear margin of 21-8.
