AIR CHIEF MEETS WITH PRESIDENT AVIATION INDUSTRY OF CHINA

JF-17 Thunder at Zhuhai Air show ChinaRawalpindi: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force who is in China to witness the Zhuhai Air Show, held a meeting with Mr Lin Zuoming, President AVIC (Aviation Industry of China). Both the dignitaries expressed their satisfaction on the current level of development in the co-production of JF-17 Thunder aircraft. AVIC President Mr Lin Zuoming appreciated the successful experience of JF-17 co-production and contributory role played by Pakistan Air Force in the enhancement of the capabilities of
JF-17 Thunder and its maturity in the operationalization as a potent fighter platform. Both the dignitaries reiterated their resolve in joint sales and marketing of this platform to various Air Forces of the world.

The “Pride of Pakistan” JF-17 Thunder jointly co-developed (by PAF & CATIC), and co-produced by PAC (Pakistan Aeronautical Complex) and CATIC (China Aero-technology Import Export Corporation) has won a big applause by huge audience and attracted a large crowd at Zhuhai Air Show-2014.

This is the 10th Air Show in the series of Chinese Air Shows which is held after each even year. The Air Show provides an opportunity to the Air Forces of the world and aircraft manufacturing industries including the associated manufacturers to exhibit their aircraft and related products.
