DG SBP orders to change the astroturf of Gojra Hockey Stadium

Lahore: Director General Sports Board Punjab Usman Anwar has ordered to change the astro-turf of Gojra Hockey Stadium immediately. He issued these directives during his inspection of sports projects in Toba Tek Singh on Monday.

Usman Anwar said that the astro-turf at Gojra Hockey Stadium has been expired and it looked inevitable to replace it with a new one. “The new asto-turf will help young players in polishing their game and then they can serve the motherland in a more professional way,” he added.

DG SBP also visited gymnasium and sports stadium in Toba Tek Singh and advised to remove the flood and rainy water from sports venues immediately. Later, he also inspected the under construction sports complex in Kamalia. He urged the contractor and local sports authorities to complete the project as early as possible.

At this occasion, DG SBP was accompanied by ADC Malik Khadim Jilani, DSO Attaur Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Gojra Syed Murtaza Shah and Assistant Commissioner TT Singh Wasif Bashir.
