Jaffar Express bombed at Sibi railway station;14 died,40 injured

Blast in Jaffar Express at SibiLahore: At Least 14 passengers were killed and more than 40 injured in a bomb blast inside a bogie of Jaffar Express at Sibi Railway Station. The blast occurred after 10 minutes of arrival of the train at the railway station.

The rescue teams had shifted the injureds to the Civil Hospital in Sibi while emergency had been declared at the burns ward of the Bolan Medical Complex. Police was searching after cordoned off the area.

According to media reports, explosive material was placed inside the train that exploded at the railway station after 10 minutes of the arrival of Jaffar Express.The train was on its way to Rawalpindi from Quetta when it fell victim to the explosion.

A bogie carrying at least 80 passengers completely damaged when it caught fire after the explosion.  Eight victims of the explosion belonged to a same family.

Bomb Disposal Squad has reached the scene while security has been put on high alert.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif ,Syed Munawar Hasan,Liaqat Baloch,Imran Khan,Kh Saad Rafique, and Altaf Hussain have expressed grief over the loss of previous lives in the explosion.
