Command, Control and Communication Centre will be equipped with Information Technology:Col. R. Shuja Khanzada

Lahore:  Chairman Police Reforms Committee Col. R. Shuja Khanzada has said that Command, Control and Communication Centre will be equipped with Information Technology. For this purpose, a total cost of Rs. 2.5 billion has been estimated by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

He disclosed this while presiding over a meeting held at Lahore, in this regard. The Minister informed that PITB has estimated that the whole work of equipping the building of Command, Control and Communication Centre with Information Technology will be completed in Rs. 2.5 billion.

The Minister said that Expression of Interest (EOI) will be invited from the national as well as international agencies, who already have worked in Pakistan and have working experience, in this field. He said that as many as 1800 sites exist in the province where CCTV cameras have to be installed. All national and international companies will be invited to visit these sites and give their suggestions, after which qualified companies will be shortlisted on merit and then contracts will be awarded through tendering in a transparent manner.
