A man allegedly threw acid on his two stepdaughters

Lahore High Court Complaint Cell took notice of a press report on administrative side that a man allegedly threw acid on his two stepdaughters.

The Cell has directed the District & Sessions Judge, Kasur to look into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by police along with his own comments within a week.

According to details, accused Aslam, a resident of New Abadi, Pattoki wanted to get married her step daughter Javaria with a dumb and deaf man, Imran, but the girl rejected the proposal. On this, accused Aslam threw acid on Javaria when she was asleep with her 10-year-old sister Malika. Consequently, both sisters suffered burn wounds. Police have registered a case against Aslam and his former wife Kulsoom Bibi on the report of Arshad Bibi, the mother of victims. Police later arrested accused Aslam while raids were on for the arrest of his former wife.
