Journalists of Kolkata Press Club spent a busy day at Lahore

Governer PunjabLahore: Journalists of Kolkata Press Club, currently on a visit to Pakistan while declaring Metro Bus a marvelous and unique project of South Asia have said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif deserves appreciation for providing cheap and comfortable international standard transport facilities to the citizens of Lahore. They said Lahorites are lucky that they have an active and hard working Chief Minister like Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

They expressed these views while travelling on metro bus from Model Town to Civil Secretariat, today. 13-member delegation of journalists of Kolkata Press Club led by its President Sudipta Sengupta spent a busy day at Lahore today. The delegation visited the office of Information Technology Board at Arfa Karim Tower where a detailed briefing was given to the delegation regarding performance of the board and various projects.

Later, the delegation visited the office of Lahore Metro Bus Authority where senior officers of the authority informed the members of the delegation about metro bus. They were informed that metro bus project has been completed in a short period of eleven months. The journalists were told that the scope of metro bus is being expanded to other cities of the province and at the end of the current month, Prime Minister Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif will lay the foundation stone of Rawalpindi Metro Bus Project.

Later, the journalists travelled through metro bus from Model Town to Civil Secretariat and enjoyed the journey. Later, the Indian journalists visited Lahore Museum, Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. They also visited Mazar-e-Iqbal. The members of the delegation also went to the ‘Mari Ranjeet Singh’.

Meanwhile, A 13-member delegation of Kolkata Press Club, India led by its
President Sudipta Sengupta met Director General Public Relations
Punjab Athar Ali Khan in his office, here today. The DGPR apprised the
Indian delegation of journalists of the responsibilities and
performance of Provincial Information Department. Director Lahore
Division, Muhammad Arif Chaudhary, Deputy Director Press Information
Javed Younis and other officers were also present on the occasion
