People to take active part for the eradication of dengue

Lahore: Chairman Emergency Response Committee for Anti-Dengue Aziz Bhatti Town Waheed Gull, MPA has said that instead of fearing of dengue, we should take active part for the eradication of dengue.  He said that it is our collective responsibility to ensure dengue-free atmosphere.

He expressed this while addressing the people in various union councils of Aziz Bhatti Town for creating awareness against dengue. Member Provincial Assembly Waheed Gull distributed literature and pamphlets and supervised the spray and fogging to protect the citizens from dengue on this occasion.

He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, anti-dengue activities would continue till the complete elimination of this scourge. He said that with the cooperation of masses, anti-dengue drive will be made successful. He stressed the need for keeping houses, mohallahs, streets and surroundings clean and motivate others not to let accumulate the water so that dengue could not breed.

He said that the principle of “prevention is better than cure” should be adopted to avoid loss of any human life. Waheed Gull said that steps are being taken against dengue on daily basis and better results are yielding due to effective contacts between concerned departments and the people.

He said that officers and officials of concerned towns should be informed about the accumulated water or garbage so that breeding of dengue could be controlled through timely steps.
