Fehmeeda Mushtaq visits to different towns of Lahore

Lahore: District Social Welfare Officer has mobilized volunteers in all the towns in the drive against dengue.

Provincial Secretary Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Fehmeeda Mushtaq paid surprise visit to different towns of Lahore today for reviewing performance of volunteers for eradication of dengue. Director Admin. Social Welfare Ejaz Chaudary also accompanied her while Director General Social Welfare Hafiz Muhammad Akram reviewed the performance of the volunteers working in Shalamar Town and Wahga Town.

During surprise visit to Data Gunj Baksh Town, Samanabad and Ravi Towns, Fehmeeda Mushtaq reviewed the performance of the volunteers towards dengue elimination and directed them to continue anti-dengue campaign with national spirit and pay door to door visits to inform the people about preventive measures against dengue. She said that in case a dengue affected person is found in any house, immediate assistance be provided for his treatment besides Chairman Dengue Emergency Response Committee of the concerned town be informed so that in addition to the affected house, immediate fogging and spray could be conducted in the neighboring houses.

She said that women should also play their role for controlling dengue and along with routine cleanliness of their houses also adopt precautionary measures against dengue so that people could be saved from other diseases as well.
