Motorways police foil dacoity attempt

Lahore: National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central have foiled attempts of robbery , recovered 753 Liter Bottles of illegal imported wine , prevented highway crime, recovered stolen wood , vehicle as well as illegal arms and ammunition and arresting 07 criminals involved in different criminal activities on national highways besides reuniting 04 lost kids with his aggrieved family.

As per details, the NH&MP Officers of Beat 18 Patrolling Officers Rao Abdul waqar and Sana Ullah were on routine patrolling near Khanewal on National highway near Sahiwal spotted Shahzore Dalla LES 7605 and recovered 1274 Bottles of imported wine while driver fled from the spot. On the direction of DIG Dr Muhammed Shafiq the recovered wine and vehicle handed over to local police for further investigation. Meanwhile the patrolling officer also foiled an attempt of robbery near Pattoki. In a separate event police arrested three criminals namely Saeed Ahmed r/o Sahiwal, Sajid Ali r/o Burewala , Muhammed Imtiaz r/o Sahiwal , Fiaz r/o Pattoki, Robin r/o Pattoki and also recovered illegal weapons from their custody on national highways near Sahiwal. In another event officers arrested two criminals namely Sajjad r/o Multan and Fiaz r/o Multan and recovered stolen wood worth value 03 lac rupee near Ahmed Pur East.

Similarly the patrol officers of Motorway Police helped lost 16 years old girl namely Faiza d/o Ali r/o Lahore , 08 years Farman Ali r/o Lahore , 10 year Juniad Naeem r/o Pattoki to reunite with his aggrieved family.

The DIG Dr Muhammed Shafiq Deputy Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police has appreciated the performance of those officers who took part in these events.
