KB Awan visits the control-room of the PHP

Lahore: Additional-IG (PHP) Malik Khuda Bukhsh Awan visited the control-room of the Punjab Highway Patrolling at the Central Police Office (CPO) today.

SP Headquarters (PHP) Zulifqar Hameed briefed the Additional-IG in detail about the working and progress of the Punjab Highway Patrolling.

On this occasion, Additional-IG Malik Khuda Bukhsh Awan was informed that there were 316 checks posts all over the Punjab province and these posts are being monitored round-the-clock through video cameras. In case of any mishap, the relevant agencies and the emergency service (Rescue-1122) are contacted immediately.

The Additional-IG was also informed one shift works in eight hours at the control room, where the staff remains in touch with the checks posts by using wireless, telephone, and mobile phone facilities.

The Additional-IG was also told that monitoring and surveillance are the two basic responsibilities of the PHP that works for 24-hours.

Additional-IG Malik Khuda Bukhsh Awan on this occasion gave some important suggestions to the officers/officials to improve the working of the PHP.
