Lahore: The unidentified person killed in police encounter in Badami Bagh area, Sunday night, has been identified as who was involved in several cases of murder, attempted murder, robbery and house robberies and was wanted by police in a number of districts.

Giving details SP CIA Umer Virk disclosed that the PO was wanted by Okara, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot police in a number of cases. Javed alias Baggi is old history sheeter against whom one murder case, three attempted murder cases, four robbery cases, one motorcycle theft case, one theft case and four other crimes cases are registered in different police stations in Lahore and other districts.

The vehicle under use of the accused was found to be snatched from PS Factory Area in FIR No.1124 registered on 4th August which has been identified by the complainant in the case. The said vehicle was snatched from Gausia Colony in PS Factory Area on 4th August alongwith cash & gold ornaments by entering the house on gunpoint after tying up the women folk present in the house.
