Rangers killed two suspected smugglers of wine

Lahore: The Pakistani border security force,Rangers have killed two suspected wine sumaglers in an encounter.The suspects were smuggling alcohol from India to Pakistan via border.

According to a security official, at least six suspected smugglers from India were trying to enter a village near Batapur at 4:00am on Saturday morning.

Border security officials signaled them to stop instead they opened fire, while in a retaliatory firing by the Rangers two alleged smugglers were killed, who are said to belong to Batapur.

The deceased were aged between 21 and 22. One of them has been identified as Salamat.

Two injured suspects were also arrested, however, others managed to escape.
