8kidnapping for ransom cases has been traced:Aslam tareen

Lahore:Capital City Police OfficerAslam Tareen has ordered that the process of sending challans to the courts should be expedited, besides ensuring merit-orientated investigation of cases. He warned that any police official, displaying inefficiency or indulging in corruption, would be taken to task.
On the directive of CCPO Lahore, during the first four month of the current year, Lahore police registered as many as 14 cases of kidnap for ransom, out of which eight were challaned, five were discharged, whereas one is under investigation. According to the statistics, in City Division, registered two cases of kidnap for ransom of Shahzaib in police station Shahdara and a case of abduction of Hussnain Raza in police station Shafiqabad and were challaned, while case of abduction of Tahir Azeem of police station Shadbagh, case of abduction of Naseer Khan of police station Tibi City and case of abduction of Abdul Gaffar were registered and discharged. Meanwhile, in Saddar Division, a case of kidnap for ransom of Syed Feroz-ul-Hassan and Abu-ul-Hassan in police station Nawab Town and registered a case of abduction of Imran and Bilal in police station Green Town and were challaned, while case of abduction of Muhammad Ali in police station Johar Town is incomplete. Similarly, in Cantt Division, registered two cases of abduction of Abdul Rehman and Abu Zar in police station Factory Area and were challaned, whereas a case of kidnap of Khuwaja Muhammad Jahangir in police station Defence A is under investigation. Meanwhile, in Civil Lines Division, registered a case of abduction of Muhammad Zain in police station Shalimar and is challaned, whereas in Model Town Division, registered a case of abduction of Anam Zain in police station Faisal Town and a case of abduction of Ali Raza in police station Kahna and discharged.
