Lahore:Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that he will continue to protest against load shedding with the masses till such time a uniform schedule of load shedding is enforced throughout the country. He said that being a representative of the people, it is his basic responsibility to protect the rights of the people.
He was addressing a gathering of people, protesting against load shedding during his visit to Pattoki today. Addressing the protesters, the Chief Minister said that continuous unscheduled load shedding has made the life of the people miserable. Tube wells have dried up in Punjab due to electricity crisis, industries are closed and in such a severe situation, how can he sit silent. Shahbaz Sharif said that he will not rest content till the provision of rights to the masses. He appealed to the protesters not to damage public and private property during their protest. He said that these properties are our national asset and as responsible citizens, it is our duty to discharge our social responsibilities with regard to their protection.
During his visit to Pattoki, Shahbaz Sharif also went to the house of Amin Adil Dogar (late), Deputy Comptroller Chief Minister’s Secretariat and expressed his condolences. The Chief Minister ordered immediate recovery of a 15 years old girl kidnapped 15 days ago in Pattoki and also directed the concerned authorities to take immediate action on public complaints against qabza groups.
