IGP Amjad Javaid Saleemi suspends DSP Ferozewala for not lodging fake FIR

Lahore : IGP Amjad Javaid Saleemi suspends DSP Ferozewala Kamran Zaman for not lodging fake FIR against 14 innocent people. He was the officer to
whom IGP awarded cash prize and commendatory certificate on risking his life during TLP strike a few days before.

The resident of Sharqpur Munir Ahmad had complained at IG office that 14 people looted cash and valuable from his house after kidnapping him from cattle yard on the night of 12 December. He made a call at 15 and filed application at police station but police didn’t register his FIR.

IG office marked application to DSP Ferozewala , who summoned the applicant at his office and said to him that facts he narrated in application ,could not verified that’s why his FIR was not lodged.

The complainant Munir Ahmad again gave application to IG office stating that why his FIR was not registered against the accused. Upon that application ,the IGP Amjad Javaid Saleemi ordered to suspend the concern DSP reasoning that he should register fake FIR and should take legal action under section 182 against the applicant on proving false facts he stated .

The IG could not sense the painful long procedure of proving not guilty for innocent people and took action against the officer who should be buck up for taking rightful decision.

It is worth mentioning that a duty officer of the beat of any police station has right under law to register rappatt about any incident which based upon lie rather to register a fake FIR.
