High Commissioner of Mauritius called on Secretary Information

Lahore : Mr. Soobadar Rashidally, High Commissioner of Mauritius in Pakistan called on Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera, Federal Secretary, Information and Broadcasting here today.

During the meeting the High Commissioner discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of media and communication.  He stressed upon the need for strengthening cooperation between the Mauritius Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC) and the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC).

He informed that there is a reasonable population of Urdu speaking community in Mauritius that is very fond of dramas and programs of PTVC. He requested for provision of popular PTV dramas and programs for broadcasting in Mauritius.

The Secretary appreciated the keen interest of the High Commissioner and public of Mauritius in the broadcasts of PTVC and he said that it provides a great window of opportunity between the state TV channels of both the countries. He assured complete cooperation of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in this regard.
