10 dead bodies were recovered from different canals

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal ) : During last ten day 10 dead bodies were recovered from different canals and Rajbahs in this district.

One dead body of about 45-year-old person was spotted floating in Lower Jhelum Canal near village Burha in Police Station Sadar area.

According to police the dead body had marks of wounds at its head. Its identification has not been determined.

Another dead body was recovered from Rajbah near village Chahranwala in precincts of Phalia police.

A dead body of a young boy was recovered by Rescue team from Lower Jhelum Canal near village Harya in Police Station Malakwal area. He was drowned while bathing in the canal and he was identified as Hamza resident of Harya village.

Two other dead bodies were recovered from Head Rasul Barrage and Rasul Hydel Power Station. Wounds marks were found on different parts of the dead body, police told.

One more dead body was found in Gujrat Distributary near Chillianwala Railway Station. It was draped in gunny bag and the body was disfigured and stinking due to remaining in water for long duration.

One dead body was spotted in Lower Jhelum Canal near village Khewa, area of Civil Line police.

Dead body of a boy that was abducted a few days earlier was found in Gujrat Distributary near village Chak Basawa in Sadar Police jurisdiction. The body was identified as of Alyan. Allegedly he was murdered after his abduction by some of the relatives of his parents.

A dead body of a woman was recovered from Head Faqirian in Miana Gondal police area. Police after autopsy arranged burial of unclaimed dead bodies.
