PML-N’s Dr Asad Ashraf wins the senate elections

Lahore : PML-N’s Dr Asad Ashraf has won the senate elections by overwhelming majority of 298 votes whereas PTI’s Dr Zarqa could get only 38 votes.

Dr Asad Ashraf who was contesting on the vacant seat of Nihal Hashmi , was declared independent candidate by the ECP in the light of Supreme Court orders which had disqualified Nawaz Sharif for party president slot by abolishing amendment made by the parliament.

Despite all the efforts and claims ,PTI could not get a single vote of PML-N.

Today’s result has stated the upcoming result of senate election going to held on March 3.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the winning candidate.
