Kh Salman inaugurates extension of gyne block in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Khawaja Salman Rafique has inaugurated extension of newly constructed gyne block in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here on Wednesday. The new block consist on 40-beds gyne wards, postnatal ward, CTG/ultrasound room, induction room, two labour rooms, nursery, minor procedures theater, sterilization room and offices of doctors and nurses. On this occasion, Kh. Salman Rafique appreciated the new administration of the hospital especially Vice Chancellor for completing the extension of newly constructed gyne block and making it functional.

Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal briefed the Secretary regarding the new facility. He said that new facility would distribute the work load of gyne department and by provision of new labour rooms, nursery and minor procedures theater would facilitate more pregnant women and their difficulties would be reduced. Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal further informed that gyne block has been constructed on 6500 square feet at a cost of Rs. 42.628 million rupees which is a part of upgradation plan of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

Meanwhile, Minister Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Kh. Salman Rafique also chaired meeting of syndicate of Fatima Jinnah Medical University.

VC Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Dr. Amjad Saqib, members of syndicate and medical superintendents of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital and Government Mozang Hospital attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and gave approval on different administrative and financial matters.
