25 players selected for Sports Board Punjab cricket team

Lahore : As many as 25 talented cricket players have been selected for the formation of Sports Board Punjab cricket team on Wednesday. These potential players have been chosen on the instructions of Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman from the eight participating teams of Chief Minister Inter-Academies Cricket Cup 2017.

Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman congratulated the selected players and announced that these players will be given top class training so that they can feature in Grade-II cricket event. “Legendary cricketer and head of Cricket Academies Punjab Zaheer Abbas has trained these cricketers excellently in a short period of time. Now it is up to them to avail this golden opportunity fully,” he stressed. The selected players are: Momin Waqar, Abdullah Shafiq, Shahzaib Butt, Faizan Ghumman, Zakir ullah, Zahid Mughal (Sialkot Stallions), Usman Shafiq, Moeen Bakhtiar, Danish Qureshi, Akram Khan (Multan Tigers), Arslan Akhtar, Haris Sharif, Amir Sohail, Nafees Akhtar (Rawalpindi Stags), Zaid Alam, Rameez Mustafa, M Ilyas, M Suleman, Usaid Amin (Lahore Falcons), Shahzad Abbasi (Rawalpindi Rams), Qamar Abbas, Saad Ali, Ali khayam, Zohaib Amanat and Kamran Haider (Lahore Lions).
