Bandits shot dead a married woman in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin (Sher Gondal) : Two unidentified bandits shot dead a married woman. Reportedly last night Amina Bibi was sleeping in her house yard in village Bhinder situated at outskirts of Phalia.

Other family members of the family including her husband Muhammad Ismail were also sleeping in the house yard. At night two persons armed with pistols entered the house after scaling the house boundary wall and opened fire on the sleeping women.

The culprits after firing made their escape good. The women died on the spot. On the complaint of her husband Muhammad Ismail Phalia police have registered case against unknown accused. After postmortem, the dead body was hand over to the heirs. Police is busy in investigation to find out the accused.

Meanwhile a young boy Babar son of Rafique Gondal of village Lakhnewala died 24 days after he was wounded critically by robbers who fired on him and his colleagues when they did not stop their vehicle on their signaling.

Initially Police Station Sadar Mandi Bahauddin registered case against five accused nominated by one of his relatives under section 324. Babar with three others was passing through neighboring village Chak Fateh Shah in the evening about four weeks past.

The bandits armed with fire weapons signaled him to stop but for fear of looting the driver ignored the signal and continued driving.   The bandits opened firing on the car with automatic weapons. The bullets after piercing through the rear screen hit on back bone of Babar below the neck. Other two persons sitting with him also received injuries with screen pieces resulting from firing.

Driver remained safe who rushed to DHQ Hospital where doctors after administering first medical aid referred Babar to General Service Hospital Lahore while the other two injured were let off after first medical aid as their injuries were minor that were  caused by broken screen pieces.

Doctors operated on Baber and ejected bullets from his body. But his condition further deteriorated. He was then taken to Al-shafa Hospital Islamabad where he survived for 11 days with no sign of improvement and ultimately passed away the other day. His dead body was brought back to DHQ Hospital for postmortem. Police added Section 302 in the FIR.

Accused in the meanwhile escaped from Police when their pre arrest bails in the case were rejected by court of ADSJ Mandi Bahauddin. However police is investigating the case and searching for the accused for their arrest.

Babar was buried the other day amidst weeping and tears streaming from the eyes of his co-villagers and relatives. Thousands people from the area attended his funeral prayers amidst tight security arrangements by local police.

Tomorrow Qul would be held for Eisal e Sawab for the departed soul.
