Lahore : Anti-Corruption Establishment Multan, during a trap raid, has arrested TMO Shah Rukan e Alim Muzamal Hussain, red handed while taking Rs. One lakh as gratification from a contractor and sent him jail on judicial remand after registration of FIR against the accused.
According to details, a local contractor lodged a complaint to Regional Director Anti-corruption Multan that TMO Muzamal Hussain is demanding gratification for clearing outstanding bills on account of supplying tents and other items for Ramazan Bazar and Cattle Market.
Regional Director Anti-Corruption Multan directed Circle Officer ACE Multan Syed Hammad Naqvi to arrest the accused red handed.
Following the directions of Regional Director, CO ACE Multan Syed Hammad Naqvi conducted a trap raid along with Special Judicial Magistrate Masood Ahmad Bokhari and arrested TMO Muzamal Hussain from the office of TMA Shah Rukan e Alim while taking Rs. one lakh as bribe from the contractor.
The raiding team recovered amount of gratification from the accused, registered a case and sent him to jail on judicial remand.
