Shahbaz celebrates Turk National Day at CM House,applaud people for foiling military coup

Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif arranged a special function at Chief Minister’s Office on National Day of Turkey. The Chief Minister and Turk Ambassador S Babur Girgin also cut a cake on this occasion. Turk Consul General Serdar Deniz, Provincial Ministers, Turk investors, Pakistani businessmen, senior officials and prominent personalities of different walks of life were present.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that people of Turkey are Pakistan are bound in strong historical ties of love and brotherhood. He said that Turk people under the leadership of their great Quaid Recep Tayyip Erdogan, foiled the conspiracy against democracy and their struggle for saving democratic system will be written in golden letters in the history. He said that on the call of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turk people came on the roads and blocked the way of tanks. He said that Turk nation rendered supreme sacrifices and foiled military coup. He said that Turkey is a symbol of modern society and it has made tremendous progress under the dynamic leadership of their leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Shahbaz Sharif said that strong economy of Turkey is an example for the world and commitment of Turk people to democracy is unprecedented. He said that the way Turk people responded to the call of their leader is due to the services of leadership of Turkey. He said that Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has served the masses selflessly due to which they supported him in the time of need and fearlessly blocked the ways of tanks.

The Chief Minister said that credit goes to honest and determined leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan for serving the masses with commitment and dedication and also to the Turk people for supporting their leader. He said that the struggle of Turk people is a lesson for others who serve the masses with honesty and sincerity.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that Turkey has stood by Pakistan in every hour of need also at every forum at international level. He said that the brotherly relations between Turkey and Pakistan have turned into economic cooperation and investment and a number of Turk companies are making investment in Pakistan especially Punjab.

He said that Turkey is extending full cooperation in training of Punjab police, provision of better health services as well as promotion of education. He said that relationship between Turkey and Pakistan is everlasting. He further said that a number of projects are being completed expeditiously in Pakistan with the cooperation of China and those creating hurdles in these projects are not sincere to the country.

He said that a political party is staging sit-ins and trying to undermine the efforts for national progress and prosperity. He said that conscious people of Pakistan will foil heinous efforts of this political party. He said that PTI has become injustice party and it has no respect for judiciary or any other institution. This party should mend its ways, he added.

He said that China has made investment of 50 billion dollars in Pakistan while Turkey is also extending great cooperation to Pakistan but these elements are out to stop the development of Pakistan. He said that the entire nation will have to unite for foiling the nefarious designs of these defeated elements.

He said that 20 crore people of Pakistan will be made a great country by following the example of Turk nation.

Turk Ambassador S Babur Girgin while speaking on the occasion said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, relations of Turkey with Pakistan especially Punjab will be expanded and Turkey will continue to extend all out cooperation to Pakistan and Punjab in different sectors.

He said that Turkey will provide cooperation in education, health and provision of basic facilities to the people. He said that Pakistan is our second home and Pakistani leadership expressed solidarity with Turk leadership and people in coup in Turkey in July 2016. He said that the coup was continuing when leadership of Pakistan sent messages of solidarity with people of Turkey.

He said that parliament of Pakistan is the only parliament which expressed full solidarity with Turk people and leadership and Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited Turkey to express solidarity with people and leadership of Turkey which can never be forgotten.

Turk Ambassador thanked Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on holding function on National Day of Turkey.

Consul General of Turkey in Lahore read the message of Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In his message, Turk President said that people of Turkey like democracy and the unflinching determination expressed by them with democracy in July 2016 is a proof to their association with democracy.
