Shahbaz Sharif had stopped I. T. Tower project : Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore : PML-Q senior central leader and former Chief Minister Punjab Ch Pervaiz Elahi has said that during our tenure construction of I. T. Tower project was done through international tendering and its contract was given to Chinese Government’s company Chinese Construction which had completed work on it up to 70 per cent, but after coming into power Shahbaz Sharif had stopped this project over this step of his, the Chinese Government was not ready to talk to the Punjab Government, on this Shahbaz Sharif had apologized, paid damages of Rs 30 crore got work on I. T. Tower completed by the same Chinese company.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that on stopping work damages of Rs 30 crore were paid out of public exchequer of Punjab and that damages should be paid out of his own pocket by Shahbaz Sharif.
