Law to take its course against those ‘invading Islamabad’: Pervaiz Rashid

pervaiz-rashidLahore : Federal Minister for Information,Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Wednesday said law would take its due course against the elements trying to shut down the Islamabad Secretariat and block roads.

Talking to a private news channel here at the Expo Center on the occasion of PML-N provincial intra-party election, he said a strategy had been finalized to ensure that no one shuts down the
federal capital.

Responding to a question, the minister said Imran Khan wanted to create chaos in the country by ‘invading the federal capital’ though forums were available to him for the remedy of his demands.

To another query, he said according to information the PTI Chairman had contacted activists of some organizations known for their ‘undemocratic ideology’ and were capable of creating anarchy. Those
activists would create unrest in Islamabad with PTI flags in their hands. That was the context in which Imran Khan had talked of bloodshed in Islamabad, he said referring to an earlier statement of
the PTI chief.

To a question, the minister said Imran Khan was now in a state of extreme frustration and disappointment. He should better confine himself to the Supreme Court and the Election Commission instead of pursuing the politics of sit-ins, he added.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would present his case before the apex court and the national institutions.

To a query, the minister said the PML-N government would complete its five-year term. Both Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif would win the general election 2018 on the basis of their development
works and public service, he added.
