Dr. Ayesha meet Polish Ambassador Piotr Opalinsic at Chief Minister’s Office

Lahore : Provincial Minister for Finance, Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has said that visits of foreign investors for search of business opportunities in Punjab is an honor for us and a proof to the fact that foreign countries are not only rejecting the negative propaganda of Anti-Pakistan elements but also expressing confidence in the leadership of present government.

She said that friendly relations between Poland and Pakistan are spreading over centuries however, there is a need to further promote economic and trade relations. He said that Poland is famous for mines engineering, energy and agriculture due to its experience and special expertise.

She said that cooperation of Poland will prove to be fruitful for the promotion of modern technology and overcoming energy crisis in Pakistan. That is why, Punjab government is ready to provide all out assistance to Polish experts and investors in the province, she added.

She expressed these views during meeting with Polish Ambassador Piotr Opalinsic at Chief Minister’s Office, Civil Secretariat Punjab.

The Minister said that Punjab government is paying special attention to social sectors for providing best living standard to people of province. She said that reforms in agriculture sector and livestock development are our top priorities and we expect from our investors to keep our priorities in view during investment in the province.

Secretary Agriculture Cap. ® Muhammad Mehmood, Additional Secretary energy Ifat Farooq and General Manager Business Development Mines Zafar Chishti were also present on the occasion.

Secretary Agriculture and Additional Secretary Energy apprised the guest of the opportunities of investment and technical assistance in their sectors. The Polish Ambassador expressed interest in food processing and oil & gas projects and appreciated the cooperation and goodwill by Punjab government.

The Minister offered Polish companies to remain in contact with Punjab Board of Investment and Trade and assured cooperation by the government. She also directed the secretaries of concerned departments to remain in contact with Polish embassy and ensure exchange of information and all out cooperation to them.
