CPEC has opened new arenas of development in Pakistan : Zaeem Qadri

Lahore : Spokesman of the Punjab Government Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has opened new arenas of development and international investment in Pakistan and this CPEC will prove turning point in the socio-economic scenario of the country.

He said this while expressing views in a Panel Discussion on “Sino-Pak relations; A Tale of Two Civilizations” held at Punjab Jiangsu Cultural Center, Qaddafi Stadium under the ages of Punjab Jiangsu Cultural Center, Government of the Punjab.punjab-jiangsu-cultural-center-qaddafi-stadium

Eminent politicians, members of civil society, media and culture Saleema Hashmi, Sajjad Naseer, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Usman Pirzada, Adeel Hashmi, Nasir Khan, Kanwal Khoosat and Ali Tahir participated in the panel discussion in three sessions regarding Pak-China political relationship in the wake of CPEC, its effects on art and culture and its role in cinema and music were discussed in the panel talk.

Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that Pak-China political relationship in the wake of CPEC has further strengthened as there will be increase in industrial and investment sector enhancing the opportunities of jobs for the skilled labour in the country.

Zaeem Qadri said that Pak-China relations have been graduated into “All Weather SINO-Pak Friendship” and a robust people to people contact is a sustainable policy to enhance socio-economic and cultural ties between the two countries. He stressed upon the need to promote interaction between the citizens of the two neighboring countries to get awareness about each other civilization, art and culture based on an informed understanding of diverse cultural practices.

In the second session well known Cultural Writer Poetess and Painter Saleema Hashmi, Drama writer Asghar Nadeem Syed and Director Producer Usman Pirzada said that the international effects of Chinese tradition is a reflection of eminence of Chinese civilization and can still serve as a guiding light for the Pakistani knowledge bearers to learn from the Chinese culture.

They said that modern day achievements of China are continuation of their historic past as China is credited for a long list of invention in different sectors of civilization. In the third session, TV artist Adeel Hashmi, Film Makers Shahzad Rafiq, Nasir Khan and Artist Kanwal Khosat said that Punjab government has taken a good initiative to improve people to people contact between the two countries and persons from every section of the society are being sent to China to learn Chinese language as it will play a pivotal role in the forth-coming CPEC scenario.
