Lahore : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif went to Punjab Assembly today and met parliamentarians belonging to various districts in his chamber.
The Chief Minister stressed upon Assembly Members to keep a close contact with the people of their respective constituencies and spare no effort to resolve their problems. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government is implementing a solid agenda of public welfare and a number of welfare-oriented projects are being implemented speedily. He said that PML-N government has promoted the trend of high quality and transparency in the implementation of development projects.
The Chief Minister said that new fiscal year’s budget will usher in an era of progress and development in the province. He said that Punjab government has allocated record funds in the budget for education, health, water supply and uplift of social sectors. He said that national resources are a trust of the nation and every penny of public money is being spent on progress and prosperity of the masses. He said that billions of rupees have been saved through maintaining transparency and high standard in the implementation of projects.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the elements involved in politics of protest are once again bent upon wasting the precious time of the nation. He said that those criticizing public welfare project are not sincere to the masses.
However, he said, the government will not be deterred by negative tactics and the process of progress and prosperity will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that collective efforts are needed for the development of the country and this goal will be achieved through adopting the golden principle of honesty and hard work.
Those met the Chief Minister included Syed Muhammad Sabtain Raza Bukhari, Nishat Khan Daha, Jaffer Ali, Rai Usman Kharal, Rana Abdul Rauf, Hanif Jutt, Mrs Tamkeen Niazi, Dr. Najma Afzal, Farzana Butt and Faiza Mushtaq. Mansha Ullah Butt MPA was also present on the occasion.
