Lahore: A raiding team constituted by Director General Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan led by Deputy Director Wildlife Gujranwala to check illegal hunting conducted a raid in Akhlas Pur border area of tehsil Shakargarh District Narowal and arrested four accused and recovered one hog deer. A departmental fine of Rs. One lakh has been recovered from the accused.
According to details, Deputy Director Wildlife Gujranwala Zahid Iqbal Bhatti got a tip off that four persons were engaged in illegal hunting upon which he arranged a raid in Akhlas Pur border area of tehsil Shakargarh. They included Muhammad Qadeer s/o Bashir, Ch. Faisal s/o Maqbool, Muhammad Usman s/o Muhammad Tariq and Kh. Nazim s/o Haseebullah. One hogdeer recovered while departmental fine of one lakh rupees was imposed.
DG Wildlife & Parks Khalid Ayaz Khan has announced commendatory certificates for the raiding team. He said that campaign against illegal hunting will be continued and indiscriminate action will be taken against the persons involved.
