Role of students for the brighter future of Pakistan is of great importance: Dr Nizam

Lahore: Chairman Punjab HEC Dr. Nizam-ud-Din has said that continuous effort, struggle and proud able confidence are hallmark of honored nations in world. Role of students for the brighter future of Pakistan is of great importance. The real objective of celebrating the Pakistan Day so enthusiastically is to attain maximum success in all fields of life and to show deepest love with our motherland.

He expressed these views in a ceremony of quiz competition held at Alhamrha Hall in connection with Pakistan Day which was organized by Directorate of Students Affairs, University of Education, Lahore. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, MPA and Parliament Secretary Lubna Afzal, Registrar Dr. Manzoom Akhter, Director Students Affairs Dr. M. Umar Saleem, Sohail Ashfaq Butt, Akram Mujahid, Dr.Waheed, teachers and a large number of students were present at occasion.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, in his address said that education is an open secret of progress and prosperity of developed nations. He advised the students to work hard as their first priority and shaped our country into a prosperous piece of land.

MPA and Parliament Secretary Lubna Afzal emphasized in her speech that young generation is real guarantor of developed country. She aimed that students would utilize their capabilities for higher learning in the light of Quaid’s ever golden sayings. In competition, Punjab University, GCU Lahore and University of Education gained first, second and third positions respectively.

Director Students Affairs Dr. M. Umer Saleem thanked the honorable guests and participants and admired the extra ordinary potential of students. Afterwards, prizes and shields were also distributed among position holders if different varsities.
