Mustafa Kamal revolts against MQM Quaid

Mustafa KamalLahore: Former Nazim of Karachi Mustafa Kamal has upheld the flag of opposition of Quaid MQM Altaf Hussain in the city of Quaid, breaking his silence after years and ending self exile ,Mustafa Kamal lashed out MQM chief Altaf Hussain while saying he was an agent of “RAW” as he was receiving funding from the secret agency of neighbouring country.

He addressed a crowded press conference soon after his arrival along with a former member of Rabita Committee Qaim Khani.Mustafa Kamal claimed that everyone including people, party members, govt and establishment knew that MQM leadership had connections with the Indian top intelligence agency RAW.“When Scotland Yard raided houses of Raabta Committee members, everything became clear”.Why can’t MQM chief come clear to party’s followers just like he did to the Scotland Yard,he questioned ?.

In his press conference,Mustafa Kamal called Altaf Hussain “sahib” whereas he used to call him Altaf bhai.He added that Altaf Hussain sahib doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

He said that Altaf Hussain posed as a innocent person who was painted as bad by establishment, the innocent followers actually believed their community was being subjected to crimes sponsored by state just on their chief’s urging.

Mustafa Kamal said that today’s press conference was based on three points. He said he will reveal that why he and Anees Qaimkhani quit MQM and left Pakistan in 2013. Why he was in Pakistan now and what will they do now.

“I had been a senator for a few months when left position, usually those who leave the MQM are kicked out but we left of our own will,” he added.

Recalling some glimpses from the past, he said “When the 2013 elections held, the Urdu-speaking citizens of Karachi casted more than 850,000 votes in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf‘s favour. But the MQM, due to its organisational structure, was the only party to bounce back while remaining in government for five years.” Despite poor governance and performance between 2008 and 2013, the MQM was able to bag two more seats in the National Assembly in last elections,he maintained.

He said: “I thought the PTI was stealing almost a million votes from MQM strongholds.”The party ended coalition with the PPP four times and rejoined it later, he added.

After PTI achieved success during the 2013 elections, “Altaf sahab and the MQM instead of apologising, began verbally attacking PTI women activists at Teen Talwar,” he said.

Kamal said despite repeated requests, Altaf Hussain did not listen to any advice of party leaders.

He said Altaf gathered his workers and was intoxicated, when he addressed his supporters at Nine Zero after the 2013 election results.
