Khan Research Laboratory wins Pakistan Football Federation Cup 2016

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that sports constitute healthy society. He said that sport activities create sportsman spirit and the atmosphere of competition. He said that Punjab government is promoting sport activities in the province.

He expressed these views while witnessing the final match of Pakistan Football Federation Cup 2016 Championship. Administrator PFF Justice (R) Asad Munir, Secretary PFF Col. (R) Farasat Ali Shah, President PFF KPK Syed Zahir Ali Shah, President PFF Punjab Arshad Lodhi and Awais Asad Khan were present on the occasion.

Final match was played between National Bank of Pakistan and Khan Research Laboratory which was won by Khan Research Laboratory by scoring two goals against NBP. 24 team participated in the cup. One lakh rupees and trophy was given to Pakistan Air Force team winning third position while NPB team was given two lakh rupees and a trophy.

Three lakh rupees and trophy was awarded to Khan Research Laboratory on obtaining first position. Rs. 20 thousand and trophy was awarded to best goalkeeper Saqib Hanif by Pakistan Football Federation. Rs. 20 thousand to best player of tournament Mansoor Khan of PAF, Rs. 20 thousand and trophy to Ansar Abbas of WAPDA, Rs. 20 thousand to best referee Irshad-ul-Haq, Rs. 10 thousand to best referee assistant Wahid Murad and Rs. 50 thousand and trophy to Pakistan Police on fair play. Gold, silver and brown medals were given to the players of RL, NBP and PAF respectively.
