JI to observe Kashmir Solidarity week: Senator Sirajul Haq

Senator Sirajul HaqLahore: The Jamaat e Islami has decided to observe Kashmir Solidarity Week from January 29 to February 5, on the directive of the Ameer, JIP, Senator Sirajul Haq.

During the week, special programmes will be held to highlight the Kashmir issue in the backdrop of the Pakistan movement, the UN resolutions on Kashmir, the brutalities being perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces in Held Kashmir and the unparalleled sacrifices being offered by the Kashmiris    for their liberation.

On January 29, special invocations will be made after the Friday prayers for the liberation of Kashmir. From January 30 to February 2, APCs and seminars will be held on the Kashmir issue in major cities of the country. Separate programmes involving the families of the martyrs of Kashmir will be held.

On February 3 and 4, Youth rallies will be held in the federal and all provincial capitals. On Friday, February 5, public rallies will be arranged at provincial, divisional and district levels which will be attended by women and children. Leaders from different political and religious parties would also join these programmes.

Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the government decision to privatize the PIA would end up in the joblessness of thousands of workers creating financial and social problems for the entire society.

Addressing the JI workers in Karachi on Wednesday, he counseled the government to refrain from such an inhuman and tyrannical step. He said there was great unrest among the PIA employees on this government decision and the workers had resorted to lock out and closure of offices.

Sirajul Haq said that the rulers were obtaining loans every day on IMF’s harsh terms. Accordingly, the IMF was pressing for the privatization of major state institutions. He lamented that the rulers were compromising national interests on personal ends.

He said that corruption was rampant in the entire society and there was no serious effort by the rulers to control the menace. He said according to the Transparency International report, Pakistan was at number 53 on the list of corrupt countries which was shameful.

Sirajul Haq said that the JI was struggling for the enforcement of the Islamic order. He said that mutual love and brotherhood were the essence of Islam’s message. He said it was imperative that the JI workers and members to begin Dawa from their homes and set up  Dawa units in every home. He said that the relations between the members of the house should be close and cordial.

He said that seeking forgiveness from Allah was the most effective method for the solution of our problems.
