Punjab’s Investment policy is attracting the investors:CEO PBIT Amna Cheema

Lahore: Investment policy and action plan of Punjab government is providing an efficient, effective, transparent system for attracting investment, enhancing and modernizing the legal framework for investment to the extent it falls under the jurisdiction of  the province of Punjab as well as promoting development and application of international standards and practices regarding investment.

This was stated by CEO Punjab Board of Investment and Trade Amna Cheema during a workshop on investment policy and action plan. She said that Punjab government is creating conducive investment climate for domestic and foreign investors, strengthening economy, vibrant industrialization and developing knowledge-based province.

She added that Punjab’s vision that investment is too prompt attractive and utilization investment in the provision of services and experts oriented sector to link the province of Punjab with international economy.

On provision of services, the focus is on investment for development infrastructure services, such as electricity generation due to the 18^th constitutional amendments is of the concerned authority and underpin on economic activities as well as development of services like transport and logistic which play a important role for import oriented investment.

She further said that the policy of investment is to ensure domestic and foreign investors, exceptive property protection, pursue good regularity services, promote effective investment pretension, use smart incentives and promote full transparency in awarding incentives, environmental and social standard, avoid mandatory performance requirements and facility and sojourn of personals.
