Hameeda Wahid sends Christmas gifts to the Christians in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal) : Like other parts of the country, Christian’s community here celebrated festival of Christmas with religious zeal to mark the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.

Special services were offered at Joseph Church located in Gurha Mohalla. Christians, male, female and children had gathered in the church since morning to celebrate the event. The day started with special prayers at the Church.

Church was decorated with lights. In front of the Church trees were also decorated. Participants of the function including children were nicely dressed. Pastor Sajid highlighted teachings of Christianity. He said aim of celebrating Christmas festival was to foster positive relations among religions and ethnic groups. He prayed for stability and prosperity of the country. Religious songs containing message of peace were sung. The celebration still continues and it will end by midnight.
