Foolproof security arrangements should be ensured on Chehlum:Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Chairman Public Affairs Unit Hamza Shahbaz has directed that the law enforcement agencies should discharge their duties efficiently on the occasion of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain in the province including Lahore city and should not show any negligence in this regard. He said that precautionary measures should be taken keeping in view the threat of terrorism.

Hamza Shahbaz said that some anti-state elements can hatch conspiracy to destroy peace in the name of sectarianism and fanning religious hatred on such occasions. He stressed upon government departments to remain alert and complete all arrangements on time.  He said that like Aasura, fool proof security arrangements should also be ensured on Chehlum.

Hamza Shahbaz said besides law enforcement agencies, Auqaf and other concerned departments should also perform their diligently on this occasion. He said that strict security, protective measures, security cameras, physical search and other relevant steps should be ensured on the routes of processions.

He said that local administration of every district should perform his duties efficiently. He said that creating hatred is not any service to the society. He said that control room should be effective in every district on the Chehlum to meet any emergent situation.

Hamza Shahbaz appealed to PML-N workers and office-bearers to play their active role for maintaining peace and religious harmony on Chehlum and also supplement the efforts of the government for creating tolerance and brotherhood in the society.
