Nasir Iqbal clinches the President Gold Cup International Squash Championship

Lahore: Nasir Iqbal of Pakistan won the President Gold Cup International Squash Championship, 2015 played at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad. The final was a one sided contest between Nasir Iqbal and Todd Harrity. Nasir won the match in straight sets.

Nasir dominated from the beginning and won the first game easily with the game score 11/7. He consolidated his grip on the match by winning the second game with the game score 11/8. The third game was also won by Nasir with the game score 11/5, earning him the championship trophy. The match lasted for 25 minutes.

President Islamic republic of Pakistan Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was also present at the occasion.  The Chief Guest awarded trophies to the players. Former World Champions Mr. Jahangir Khan, Mr. Qamar Zaman, Mr. Jansher Khan and Mr. Mohib Ullah also witnessed the match. Foreign diplomats, civil and military officials along with a large number of squash lovers witnessed the match.
