A delegation of international institution in energy sector met CM Punjab

Lahore: A delegation of a prominent international institution in energy sector met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that government is paying full attention to the speedy completion of energy projects. He said that high standard and transparency in projects is the hallmark of the government and merit is being ensured in all projects.

He said that besides traditional methods, due attention is also being paid to alternative sources of power generation for controlling energy crisis. He said that government is taking measures on emergent basis for coping with the issue of shortage of electricity and power projects are being implemented without wasting any time.

The members of the delegation of international institution said that they were deeply impressed with the vision and action of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif who has set a high standard of transparency in the province. They said that timely completion of energy project will be ensured.

Chairman Punjab Power Development Company Arif Saeed, Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Secretary Energy, Chief Executive Officer Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power Limited and Chief Executive Officer Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park were also present on the occasion.

President of a prominent Chinese company in energy sector Zonergy,Yu Yong also met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. The meeting agreed to speedily implement the solar project at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that work on first solar project at Quaid-e-Azak
Solar Park Bahawalpur under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has been started and this 300 megawatt solar project will start production of energy by the end of current year. He said that the project will be completed speedily while like other projects a high standard will also be maintained.

President of Zonergy Yu Yong assured the Chief Minister that the 300 megawatt solar projects will
be completed till the end of the current year.

Additional Chief Secretary Energy, Secretary Energy, Chief Executive Officer Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
