Liaqat Baloch condoles the death of former President of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Adul Qayyum Khan

Liaqat BalochLahore: Acting chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the salvation of the Ummah as also the solution for all its problems lay in holding fast to the path of Allah and total obedience of the holy prophet (pboh). He was addressing an Iftar dinner at Karachi on Thursday evening.

Liaqat Baloch said that under the constitution of the country, no law of the country could be repugnant to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah but practically, all institutions of the state and the rulers were violating the divine injunctions.

He said that the enemy had launched an attack on the country’s solidarity while corrupt elite was in power. He said that press conferences were being held against the NAB for issuing the list of corruption cases. However, he said, that accountability must be above board and civilian rulers, judges or generals should not be spared.

The JI acting chief said that the Sindh government had taken a belated decision to extend the powers granted to the Rangers but it was essential that indiscriminate action be continued against the criminals.

He welcomed Kabul-Taliban talks but added that peace could be restored in Pakistan only after the US withdrew from the region.

Meanwhile, Liaqat Baloch has expressed deep grief over the sad demise of veteran Kashmiri leader and former President of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Adul Qayyum Khan.

In a condolence message here on Friday, he said that the services of late Sardar Abdul Qayyum khan for the Kashmiris would be long remembered.  He prayed that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace.

He also offered condolences to the deceased’s son, Sardar Attiq ur Rahman Khan , and other Kashmiri leaders on this great loss.

Meanwhile, Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has expressed deep grief over the sad demise of former Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Saud al Faisal.

In a condolence message from Saudi Arabia, he said that late Prince Saud al Faisal had endeavoured for decades to resolve the problems being faced by the Muslim Ummah, and in this, had reminded the world of his late father King Faisal on various occasions. Late Saud al Faisal had played an effective role in  removing the misunderstandings between different Muslim states, he added.

Sirajul Haq said that Prince Saud al Faisal had always held firm and clear views on all important issues concerning Pakistan especially Kashmir and nuclear programme. He said that the deceased, despite his protracted illness, had played an important role in Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy.

He said it was a sign of divine blessing that the deceased had breathed his last on the 23th night of  Ramadan. May Allah accept his good deeds, overlook his failings, and may the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

JI acting chief Liaqat Baloch, JI deputy chiefs Prof. Khurshid Ahmed, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, mian Muhamamd Aslam, Asadullah Bhutto, Radhid Naseem, have also expressed deep grief over the demise of the former Saudi prince.
