Ziafat Restaurant at MM Aalam Road fined for poor cleanliness and dirty freezer

Lahore: Under the patronage of DG Food Authority Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chuhan, a vigorous campaign is continuing against adulteration mafia. Teams of Punjab Food Authority today visited all Ramzan Bazaars in Lahore and checked the quality of fruits, vegetables, drinks, flour, sugar and others and destroyed poor quality items. More than 25 samples of spices, gram flour, flour and drinks were taken from Ramzan Bazaars and sent for laboratory testing.

Officers of the authority also visited different places in addition to Ramzan Bazaars and issued notices of improvement against poor cleanliness arrangements and imposed a fine of more than 50 thousand rupees.

Moreover, a field team of Punjab Food Authority led by Director Operations Ayesha Mumtaz imposed a heavy fine to Ziafat Restaurant at MM Aalam Road Gulberg Town for poor cleanliness arrangements and dirty freezer.

The team also sealed Sheikh Sarwar Foods for using loose oil, substandard cloth dyes and got arrested five persons and FIR was also registered against them with police station Thana Gujjar Pura.

A team of Samnabad Town sealed Lahori Shahi Pathorey for poor cleanliness arrangements. A team of Allama Iqbal Town raided Aslam Samosa Patti Unit and destroyed on the spot poor edible items including 500 kg samosas and roll patti, 100 kg potato paste, masala of 150 samosas, 375 kg ketchup, 500 kg ready samosas and 500 kg ready rolls. Similarly, Shalimar Town team sealed Alnoor Samosa on poor cleanliness arrangements.
