Electronic stamp paper will be launched from June 08: Nadeem Ashraf

Lahore: Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf has said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, electronic stamp paper is being introduced in district Lahore from June 08 for eradication of forger mafia after which its scope will be expanded throughout the province. He said that the person purchasing the stamp paper will be informed through SMS. Challan form 32-A will also be loaded through computer after provision of complete information, he added.

He expressed these views while addressing a high level meeting. Additional Secretary Information, Secretary Cooperative, Member Tax, representatives of IT and officers of Finance and Excise Departments were also present on the occasion.

Senior Member Board of Revenue said that the mission of Punjab Chief Minister to make the province corruption free and foil the nefarious designs of forgers is being implemented. He said that forger mafia deserves no sympathy and leniency. He said that awareness seminars will be held in Lahore and other cities regarding the benefit of electronic stamp paper and its importance in future. He said that due to electronic stamp papers every kind of land will be saved and no irregularity will be made in electronic stamp papers besides government will also collect revenue in a better manner.
