Ch Pervaiz Elahi demands CM Punjab resignation to end crisis in the province

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that people belonging to all walks of life including farmers, clerks, doctors, teachers and lawyers are protesting but N-League remains unconcerned, police on strike in Daska, Sialkot, whereas this department do not even have holiday, Chief Minister’s police is resigning, why he himself do not resign.

He said that massacre case of Model Town Lahore was also on this Chief Minister, they are bringing mini budget prior to the provincial budget wherein oil prices will be increased but against this we will strongly protest both inside and outside of the assembly.

Addressing big workers conventions today at important places of NA-108, Phalia, Mandi Bahauddin City and Chailianwala, Ch Parvez Elahi said that promises which Shahbaz Sharif had made prior to the election have not been fulfilled even till now, we have to save the future generations from oppression of N-League and give then a golden Pakistan.

He said as the Chief Minister Punjab from 2002 to 2007 he had rendered unparalleled public service, made the province and the country prosperous, all promises made to the people were fulfilled, wheel of progress was set in motion in backward areas of Punjab, provided sui gas, constructed roads, schools and colleges, in Mandi Bahauddin alone Rs 25 billion were spent in five years, today the rulers are utilizing funds of entire Punjab only in Lahore, ask N-League candidate what he has done for this constituency?

Continuing Ch Parvez Elahi said that we had provided revolutionary facilities and incentives to the farmers, exempted from agriculture tax which was re-imposed by Shahbaz Sharif. Any farmers did not leave any loss in any crop during our five years’ rule. If we got the opportunity again we will establish a university in Mandi Bahauddin also like Gujrat University, “today I have come with open heart and courage to you, decision has to be taken by you whether you want the golden era again or this darkness all around, vote for Hamza Nasir Iqbal to ensure victory of Pakistan Muslim League”. We had provided free education, health facilities, degrees, medicines and employment, they are distributing suicides, one mistake of yours put Pakistan backward long way, do not repeat this mistake this time and put stamp on cycle which is companion of everyone and renders free service in every circumstance.

He said further that 20 lakhs people had benefitted from Rescue 1122, we had established this service for the poor and our projects are continuing with the blessings of Almighty Allah otherwise they had tried their level best to scrap these public welfare projects, by shutting Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital Shahbaz Sharif has exposed lives of four lakhs people of the areas to death fears, murder case should be registered against him.

Candidate NA-108 Hamza Nasir Iqbal said that situation in electricity, health and health sectors and of roads was very bad and getting worse with passage of every day, good works which were rendered by Ch Parvez Elahi in his five years tenure had not been done even in fifty years previously, Pakistan Muslim League (PML) has served the people in real sense, Ch Parvez Elahi was first to begin the change in the country.

Former District Nazim Riaz Asghar Chaudhry said that Govt. Girls Degree College, sui gas in every street, network of primary schools, establishment of sub-station to overcome electricity shortage and provision of modern facilities in district and tehsil headquarters hospitals were such good welfare works of Ch Parvez Elahi which the people still remember.

Expressing gratitude to Ch Parvez Elahi on this occasion, Sajid Ahmad Khan Bhatti said that we the workers of PML will come up to the expectations of their leader, Muslim League alone is the sincere political party of this district, N-League is only concerned with Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif says come to Lahore and see how many development works have been done but during tenure of Ch Parvez Elahi developments were undertaken and completed throughout the Punjab without any discrimination.

On this occasion Ch Liaquat Ali Bhatti, Zulqarnain Sahi, Ch Arif Gondal, Omar Hayat Bhatti, Ch Ghulam Qadir, Zulfiqar Mangat, Khalid Parveiz Sindhu, Mohammad Arshad, Khalid Mohammad Ranjha, Amjad Butt, Ch Waris Sindhu were among large number of PML leaders present.

Earlier the procession of Ch Parvez Elahi was accorded warm and enthusiastic welcome at several places including Adda Kang Sahari, Adda Pahrianwali, Raegey, Hailaan and elsewhere, welcome slogans were chanted, profusely garlanded and flower petals showered on him and pigeons were set free. All along the route, huge portraits of Ch Shujat Hussain and Ch Parvez Elahi as well as banners and posters with welcome slogans were displayed.
