Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif consoled the father of six burnt to death children and assured him justice will be done in the case.Shahbaz Sharif said he could not bring back the kids but will ensure the inquiry to be completed on merit.
The CM Punjab today early in the morning visited the house of Syed Qaisar Shah in Shad Bagh and condoled him on the death of his six children.He offered fatiha for the departed souls and said I was briefed that Fire Brigade staff reached late there , they could have save the precious lives if come in time,he added.
The CM ordered an Inquiry Commission headed by the Chairman Chief Minister Inspection Team to probe the delay by the fire brigade staff and said that I will monitor the inquiry process myself and everyone will see the justice,he maintained.
Shahbaz Sharif also announced to set up a rescue 1122 office in Shad Bagh.
Later,Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting through video link in civil secretariate and said I am grieved over the sad incident of death of six children in Shad Bagh.The CM said that the whole system of fire brigade was needed to overhaul with immediate effect,Rescue performance was also under question in the wake of Shad Bagh incident.The departments should improve its performance.Those who will be liable for delay ,would be made a lesson for others,he added.
