SSP Rao Anwaar remain lucky in murder attempt,5 attackers gun down by the police

Lahore: Former SSP Malir Rao  Anwaar remained lucky in a murder attack at Link Road ,Steel Town Karachi. According to media reports,Rao Anwaar was going for condolence to the family of martyred DSP Fateh Muhammad who was gundowned a day before in a terrorists attack.The attackers also used hand grenades in the attack.The SSP Rao Munir and his gunmen are engaged in shoot out till the filing of these lines.The attackers are in a white colour car and shoot out is under way,the SSP talked to the media when he was contacted on mobile phone.He said that he is safe and will talked to later as the encounter ends.He said a few people run away on counter firing .After around 30 minutes of the encounter ,5 attackers were gun downed by the police whereas other made a successful  escape. A heavy contingent of the police have rounded up the vicinity and search is underway.

The SSP doubted that the attackers belonged to TTP,a ban outfit.
